International Council of Graphic Design Associations (Icograda) is the professional world body for graphic design and visual communication. Founded in London in 1963, it is a voluntary coming together of associations concerned with graphic design, design management, design promotion, and design education. Icograda promotes graphic designers' vital role in society and commerce. Icograda unifies the voice of graphic designers and visual communication designers worldwide.
- The Society of Graphic Designers of Canada
Through various activities, such as publications, seminars, events and design exhibitions, the GDC builds awareness of graphic design and its important role in people's lives. Of equal importance, but less tangible, is the GDC communications network which facilitates an ongoing exchange of ideas and information. Along with 35 other countries, GDC is a member of the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (Icograda).

- RGD Ontario - The Voice of Graphic Design in Ontario, Canada
In 1996, RGD Ontario became the self-regulatory, professional body for graphic designers in the province of Ontario. The Association grants graphic designers who qualify the right to the exclusive use of the designations Registered Graphic Designer and R.G.D. and is the governing and disciplinary body for its members. RGD Ontario is the only graphic design association in Canada to have such legislation.
